A Few Words From The Founder:
My name is Sheikh Gomaa Mahdi. My journey in Islamic education began at the Azhar Institute when I was just six years old in 1987.
Over the course of sixteen years, I immersed myself in the rich curriculum of Arabic and fundamental Islamic sciences like Tafseer, Hadith, and Fiqh until I graduated from Al-Azhar University in 2005 with a Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Studies in English.
Alongside my formal education, I had the privilege of studying under esteemed senior scholars in Egypt, deepening my understanding of traditional Islamic sciences.
In 2006, I was honored to be appointed as an Imam by the Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf, where I delivered impactful lectures and served as a regular Khateeb in Alexandria until 2016.
Upon moving to Canada, I continued my journey as an Imam at Al Rayan Islamic Centre, dedicating myself to teaching Arabic, Quran, Tajweed, and Islamic Studies to diverse students both online and offline, a responsibility I cherish deeply.
